Behind the Screens: Building a Tech-Enabled Home Maintenance Website

When Stellar Home Maintenance came on the scene, the idea was simple: help great contractors find steady work, and help property managers get the reliable maintenance pros they desperately need. That gap between supply and demand? Stellar’s fixing it with smart tech and a no-nonsense approach. And I got to help bring that vision to life by building their website from scratch.

The Vision Behind Stellar

Stellar was born from a big “Why is this still so hard?” moment. There are tons of skilled tradespeople out there looking for consistent gigs, and on the other side, property managers dealing with non-stop maintenance issues. Stellar stepped in as the matchmaker using tech to connect both sides and make the whole process way smoother. Think Uber, but for property maintenance.

Laying the Digital Groundwork

My job? Create a digital hub that could handle all of it. I designed and built a full website that wasn’t just about looking good—it had to work hard too. We launched with key pages for all the audiences we needed to serve: Home, Property Managers & REITs, Contractors, About Us, Careers, and Contact. Each one with messaging and structure designed specifically for that user.

This wasn’t a brochure site—it was a tool.

Cool Features That Actually Matter

One of the biggest wins was setting up DocuSign PowerForms. Before, contractor sign-up was clunky and slow. Now? It’s a smooth, automated process that lets new pros get onboarded quickly and start picking up jobs without the usual paperwork bottleneck. I built that flow and tied it into the rest of the site’s lead funnels and Salesforce tracking. No more back-and-forth emails. Just simple sign-ups that work.

Brand Refresh

Visually, I took what Stellar already had, their existing brand colors and vibe, and gave it a little facelift. I introduced some fresh tones to modernize things, but kept everything feeling familiar. It’s clean, professional, and still feels like them. No weird pivots or off-brand experiments.

How SEO + SEM Played In

To make sure the site actually got seen, I ran local SEO audits and optimized pages to target niche keywords like “property maintenance for REITs in Texas” and “contractor jobs in Dallas.” On the SEM side, I launched geo-targeted Google Ads aimed at both sides of the platform—contractors looking for steady work and property managers needing help yesterday. These ads brought in qualified traffic that led directly to DocuSign conversions and Salesforce entries.

Your Project, My Expertise

This site isn’t just a pretty page, it’s the engine that powers Stellar’s whole model. It brings in contractor leads, supports hiring, and connects directly with the teams managing properties. It’s fast, functional, and actually does the job it was built for.
